Here Come ADP Private Payrolls ...

Expectations are for the report to show payrolls grew by 225,000 in December, up from 208,000 in November.

This is one of two employment reports (initial jobless claims come out on Thursday morning), we get before the December jobs report is released Friday morning.

Ian Shepherdson at Pantheon Macro wrote in a note to clients on Wednesday that odds favor a stronger than expected ADP number due to an underlying employment trend that is closer to 275,000 than 225,000, while also noting that ADP's data tend to be heavily influenced by the previous month's official BLS data.
