Ever wondered how it would be to work at Coca Cola, the company behind some of your favourite soft drink
We did too. And, in the process also decided to find out the perks of being a Coca Cola, India employee so you don’t have to wonder anymore.
Business Insider talked to Mr Sameer Wadhawan, Vice President, HR at Coca Cola India and South West and we’re happy to report that being an employee at Coca Cola is the stuff dreams are made of.
To start with, Coca-Cola is of the belief that the workforce is the face of their company and hence fosters an open and inclusive relationship with their employees, with a clear focus on helping them realize their true potential.

To be successful in doing so, the company offers competitive pay and motivating benefits which comprises a number of different elements, such as facilities of medical, accident, life insurance, free health check-ups for employees, loans and advances, parental leaves for women and men which then form a total compensation and benefits package for the employees.
The company also has robust wellness programmes in place, like ‘Active Healthy Living’ policy that encourages people to take up health programmes like gym, yoga, hobby which is partially reimbursed by the company.
Coca-Cola India’s ‘Active Well-Being’ programme providing on-site medical health checkups, lifestyle assessment and counselling services including lifestyle management programmes, de-addiction, stress management and anxiety management to the employees. As part of this programme, there is also a helpline which provides consultation to employees.
Also, under the wellness policy, Coca Cola provide 50% gym membership fee to their employees.

If that’s not all, the company’s parental leave policy is guaranteed to make work life easier for new moms and dads.
Currently, the company allows six months of maternity leave, with Wadhawan claiming that Coca Cola, India witnesses a 100% return from leave ratio as six months give female employees enough flexibility to establish work-life balance.
The best part is that female employees on maternity leave are considered at par with other employees for promotion, training and developmental opportunities in the Company. Additionally, the company also provides a 15 day adoption leave for associates who want to adopt a child. Work from home is also something these associates can take advantage of at that time.
Similarly, paternity leave policy of the company extends to 15 days.
The company’s Kids@Work policy allows employees to invite their kids to work on at least 2 days. There are special arrangements made in the office to engage and entertain the kids like magic show, film screenings, games, fun activities etc. While kids engage and mix around with other children of their age, their parents (employees) enjoy spending time with their children even in office.
