Growing up as a star kid surrounded by parents who’re not only famous Bollywood actors, but are also worshipped by people nationwide can be as daunting a experience as it can be extraordinary.

Even if one manages to exclude the hundreds cameras persistent to capture every moment of the living as a Bollywood actor’s kid, the unsaid added pressure from every side to take a liking to acting or grow up to belong in Bollywood certainly cannot be neglected.

While there are so many actors who’ve followed the footsteps of their parents and entered the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood (think Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan) and managed to successfully carve their own position, there exists a handful of star kids who’ve said no to the big bad world of Bollywood and made a name for themselves in other professions.

Business Insider makes a list of five such star kids who you won’t get to see onscreen anytime soon. Or ever!

1. Rhea Kapoor: Being the sister of the fashion poster girl Sonam Kapoor, future actor Harshwardhan Kapoor and daughter to the jhaakaas Anil Kapoor comes with a set of expectations- all which assume you’re made to be in front of the camera. But, not Rhea. Always shying away from the spotlight, the elder Kapoor Girl is a stylist (best known for dolling up Sonam Kapoor in her fashion-forward best) and film-producer, having worked on Aisha and Khoobsurat and believes she’s made to be behind the camera.

2. Ahana Deol: She’s the daughter of firebrand yesteryear stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini and sister of Esha Deol, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Abhay Deol. It thus wouldn’t be wrong to expect her to be launched in a movie anytime soon, as well. Alas! Our expectations will remain just that, as Ahana has no plans of making it into the movies and is happy pursuing Odissi dance.

3. Ridhima Kapoor Sahni: Badtameez Dil actor Ranbir Kapoor’s elder sister Ridhima Kapoor hardly makes an appearance in front of the papparazis, and when she does, it’s mostly with parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, dressed to kill. Far from the maddening crowd of Mumbai, Riddhima resides in Delhi with her husband and is a successful interior and fashion designer.

4. Shweta Nanda: The Bachchan’s elder daughter has openly admitted in the past how she’s not fit to be a heroine and instead is a doting mother and wife. She however can be seen acting in a few ads and had also hosted a show in NDTV Profit.

5. Shaheen Bhatt: Mahesh Bhatt’s bubbly younger daughter Aliaa Bhatt might be setting Bollywood on fire, but her reserved elder sister Shaheen Bhatt is all about making it count behind the scenes. From assisting Vikram Bhatt on Raaz 3 to co-writing for films like Son of Sardaar and Jism 2, her only aim is to call the shots.
