Joe and Anthony Russo, two brothers who began their careers in entertainment on the film-festival circuit, have had a huge 2018 after directing the Marvel hit "Avengers: Infinity War."
The film is one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, with more than $2 billion in global revenue.
The Russo brothers have followed an unlikely path to success. Their careers began with an independent film called "Pieces," which they financed themselves while taking on debt. Filmmaker and producer Steven Soderbergh saw "Pieces" and called the brothers asking to produce their next film.
From there, the Russos took on a number of TV projects, and their work on NBC's "Community" eventually caught the attention of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who brought them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hear from the brothers, together on stage at IGNITION, as they discuss the entrepreneurial careers that led them toward directing this year's record-breaking superhero film.
