Health is wealth. This adage is old but holds golden in this age too. As we get old and wise with time, we should also look after our health. Year 2015 was a healthy year for many but for some, it was quite not healthy!

Practo, which released the healthcare map of India, stated that gastric and cardiac were amongst the fastest growing health concerns in India.

The Practo Healthcare Map of India 2015 The report highlighted the fastest growing concerns to enable the healthcare industry focus on the illness types that ail the population today as well as pro-actively address those that could become the next set of challenges.

The report was based on search data from Practo which has nearly 40 million appointments per year and over 75M searches across 200,000 doctors and over 200 specialties. It found out that the fastest growing searched specialties in 2015 were gastroenterologists at 204% and cardiologists at 163%.

There was also a growth in top searched specialties in 2015, which also had dentists and paediatricians in its list in Tier I cities.

In Delhi, the biggest health issues remained Gynecology, Dermatology and Dentistry, whereas in Mumbai, in tandem with the national findings, ENT was at the top.

The biggest healthcare issues in the city are Dermatology, Gynecology and Dentistry.

In Bengaluru, the biggest healthcare concerns are Dermatology, Pediatrics and Dentistry.
