Delhi government's alternate day car ban will be applicable from 8 am to 8 pm on working days FROM January 1 to 15 and classification about odd and even is to be decided upon dates, said Transport Minister Gopal Rai on Tuesday evening.

Speaking with reporters at Delhi Secretariat following a marathon meeting with the Traffic Police and government ministers, Rai said that "full blueprint will be ready by December 25."

He said the AAP government has received proposals for exempting certain sections like women, disabled, two wheelers, among others, from the ban and a decision is yet to be taken about the same.

"We will run this from January 1 to 15 and then review its performance," said Rai. At 200 locations, the government will conduct air quality monitoring during this period, he said to know the impact of the ban.
