Grofers delightful surprise for customers: Order anything today and get Maggi free!

Nov 10, 2015, 13:55 IST
Anticipating whopping demand for Maggi as it makes a grand comeback just a day ahead of Diwali, Grofers, the on-demand e-commerce mobile application, has devised a perfect way to leverage maximum out of Nestle’s perfectly timed re-launch of its famous noodles brand in the market.

The delightful surprise Grofers has for all its customers is – “Order anything and get a packet of Maggi for free”. Why it’s a smart move is because everyone wants to buy anything for free, and when it’s Maggi that too after months of its absence from the market, there are high chances that maximum consumers (existing and new) will place orders especially to get that free packet.

It is believed to help in two regards - attract more people to use Grofers thereby growing their customer base and help Nestle rebuild the lost trust and customer confidence in Maggi (because of its countrywide ban owing to reports of high levels of MSG in the product) at a hyperlocal level.

Grofers said it has stocked nearly 10,000 packets of Maggi from their merchants for free delivery. The offer is only for today and is applicable in selected cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Surat and Vadodara. As they run out of this stock, Maggi will still be available for purchase but you will have to pay for it. Apart from this, the hyperlocal delivery company has tied up with Gitanjali group to deliver range of gold and silver coins and also has several other Diwali gifting options on their portal.

Notably, Grofers was also first in delivering iPhone 6s to consumers on the midnight of its launch day, October 15.
