- Former President George H.W. Bush was hospitalized in Maine on Sunday.
- Bush was previously hospitalized in January 2017 and April 2018.
Former President George HW Bush, 93, was taken to a hospital in Maine on Sunday after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue, a family spokesman said on Twitter.
Bush, the oldest living former US president, will likely remain at Southern Maine Health Care for a few days for observation, said the spokesman, Jim McGrath.
"The former president is awake and alert, and not in any discomfort," McGrath wrote on Twitter.
Former first lady Barbara Bush, the president's wife of 73 years, died on April 17. President Bush was previously taken to the hospital shortly after his wife's funeral.
He arrived in Maine last Sunday to visit the family's summer home in Kennebunkport, where residents lined the streets to welcome the 41st president on his first trip there without his wife.
Jeb Bush, the couple's younger son, tweeted a picture of his dad's arrival:
On Saturday, Bush attended a pancake breakfast at the local American Legion:
"This weekend we remember, and thank, all who have given their lives for our great country," he wrote on Twitter. Bush served as an aviator for the US Navy during World War II.
