Mukesh Ambani’s Jio blockbuster: Lowest data tariff at Rs 50/GB, free roaming and voice calls amongst a host of other offers

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani unveiled a cracking host of offers of Reliance Jio during the company’s 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Ambani, while addressing the stakeholders on September 01, announced disruptive tariff plans and services for customers, who welcomed the move and lauded Ambani’s series of announcements on Twitter.
Ambani stated Reliance Jio’s plan was based on 5 main points- best quality broadband network, affordable 4G devices, compelling content, superior service and affordable tariff.
Among the offers, Ambani said all voice calls to any network across India on its Jio network will be free. Not only this, the roaming charges will also be zero and Reliance Jio will not charge for holiday messages on Diwali, Holi, etc.
"For data, the more data you use the lower the rate. This is the absolute lowest price for data anywhere in the world. "After every transaction on Jio you will see your bill in real time," said Ambani.
Ambani said Reliance Jio will offer data services at a price as low as Rs 50 per GB, the lowest in the world.
"Data is the oxygen of digital life. The data should never be unaffordable for anyone,” said Ambani.
"Now Indians can do datagiri," said Ambani.
"Indians can't be left behind as the world enters a new era. Give the youth the right environment and they will surprise us," Ambani said.

- From September 5, Jio's services will be available for free to everyone till 31 December 2016.
- New Lyf devices starting at Rs. 2,999.
- 25% extra data for students holding a valid id card
- Data packs of Reliance Jio will be priced at Rs 25-50 per GB.
- Jio apps subscription worth Rs 15,000 will be offered to customers as complimentary until December 31, 2017.
- e-KYC: Customers can get a Jio connections within 15 minutes with e-KYC. Instant eKYC digital activations can be done in the store or at home.
