Fuel prices in India have again taken a hike, marking the second change in rates this month after they were increased on May 17th. While petrol price has taken a jump of Rs 2.58 a litre, diesel prices have gone up by Rs 2.26 per litre.

In Delhi, petrol will now cost Rs 65.60 per litre, while diesel will cost Rs 53.93/litre.

"The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant increase in price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision," said Indian Oil Corp (IOC).

It added that it would continue to monitor the movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate, and future price changes would reflect developing trends of the market.
