This is what people think the Galaxy Note 5 will look like.

Leaks have appeared claiming to have revealed close to every detail about Samsung's rumoured Galaxy Note 5 phablet.

The leaks appeared on Droid Life, which claims a number of sources familiar with the matter sent it fresh details about the Galaxy Note 5.

According to the leaks the Galaxy Note 5 will have:

  • A dockable S Pen stylus.
  • A 3,000mAh battery.
  • 4GB of RAM.
  • 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage.

If true, the Galaxy Note 5 will have a smaller battery than the Galaxy Note 4. The Galaxy Note 4 features a 3,229mAh battery. A battery's mAh is a figure that measures its energy storage capacity. A higher figure is preferential.

The leaks claim the Galaxy Note 5 won't have a microSD card slot, meaning users won't be able to upgrade the phone's storage space after purchase. The report also claims the Galaxy Note 5 will have a regular USB port as opposed to the more advanced USB Type-C.

USB Type-C is an upgraded port expected to appear on Google's next Nexus smartphone. The technology promises to let users charge handsets three to five times faster.

The sources said the Galaxy Note 5 will have a similar design to Samsung's Galaxy S6. The design will feature metallic sides and a shiny, ruggedised glass back.

Droid Life's report matches the specs leaked in previous Galaxy Note 5 reports. Evan Blass, a tech writer who makes a living leaking details about yet to be released gadgets, reported receiving similar information about the Galaxy Note 5 in July.

None of the details contained in the leaks are official. Business Insider has reached out to Samsung.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 at a press event on August 13 which Business Insider will be attending. Check back then for more details on Samsung's smartphone plans.
