If Jio is here with freebies, can others be far behind? That’s exactly what the telecom war seems now. As Jio’s free offers of data and voice call end this month, Idea and Vodafone respectively are coming up with new plans that would focus on data and free voice calls for prepaid customers.

Idea may be offering unlimited voice and 500MB data per day, for 28 days for Rs 348. Vodafone may be launching a new plan at Rs 342, where prepaid users would get 28GB data per month along with FUP of 1GB per day. Another plan at Rs 346 is aimed at offering unlimited calling benefits with 10GB data every month.

Vodafone has already started promoting these plans through messages to customers across the country.
While a level playing was the standard in Indian telecom industry, there seems to be a major disruption, all credits to Mukesh Ambani backed Jio, which has already acquired 100 million subscribers in short period of time.
