Foxconn set to pump a whopping $5 billion into India

Taiwan based Foxconn declared this Saturday that it is planning to invest $5 billion over five years on a new electronic manufacturing facility in Maharashtra.

The formal declaration was done by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Foxconn founder Terry Gou after they signed the formal agreement sealing the deal.
Gou said that the company was looking for local partners for the new facility.

Gou had said prevoisly that he is personally in touch with governments of several states to set up manufacturing units in the world's fastest growing smartphone market.
