Leonardo DiCaprio is among the very few celebrities who use their fame to change the world for the better. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor is urging 19.2 million of his Twitter followers to support climate change action. The 44-year-old Hollywood actor starred in iconic movies like Titanic (1997), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Inception (2010), and The Revenant (2015) -- for which he won an Oscar.
The actor is not all talk. He also donated at least$100 million to Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation which supports projects that conserve endangered species and environment.
DiCaprio also took the climate change message to the Oscar stage in 2014, when he as a part of his Oscar-winning speech. His speech was viewed by 34.5 million people.

DiCaprio's environmental initiative called Earth Alliance pledged $5 million towards the preservation of the Amazon rainforest, after the wildfire.
The new organisation's emergency Amazon Forest Fun supports local partners and indigenous communities as they protect sensitive habitats in the Amazon, reports variety.com.
DiCaprio questions lack of media interest in Amazon rainforest forest
DiCaprio has called out the media for its inaction as well.

The actor posted a picture of the Amazon rainforest fire, with the caption: "Terrifying to think that the Amazon is the largest rainforest on the planet, creating 20% of the earth's oxygen, basically the lungs of the world, has been on fire and burning for the last 16 days running, with literally NO media coverage whatsoever! Why?"
DiCaprio steers attention to Chennai water crisis
DiCaprio took to Instagram to share a photograph of a dry well. He wrote: "'Only rain can save Chennai from this situation.” A well, completely empty, and a city without water. The southern Indian city of Chennai is in crisis, after the four main water reservoirs ran dry."
DiCaprio visited India in 2015 to film a segment for his 2016 documentary film, "Beyond the Flood".
Five Great UN Forest Initiative

The actor recently shared 5 Great Forests Initiative launched at the UN Climate Summit. The initiative will help protect Central America’s forests which will in turn do their part in reviving and restoring the environment.
