o Internet of things - According to Gartner, by 2020, 25 billion devices will be generating tons of data about on almost every topic imaginable. However, in India IoT is yet to see some early adoption in 2016 with Wearables and Home Automation leading the sector.
This sector will see a lot of innovation in terms of Hardware and design along with good amount of focus on integrated software. With more devices getting smarter, Internet of Things will continue to play a key role in enriching user experience and further helping brands to understand consumer response, behaviour and much more.
o Data Science - In 2016, businesses should emphasize on data as a new strategic resource to maximise profit. Along with tech, Data science would be integrated with marketing and sales team ( for targeted user acquisition, engagement and retention) to further help companies to approach problems with the goal of generating data and using it to yield long-term strategic value.
Data science will also see a lot of traction in Advanced Machine Learning. To an increasing extent, technologies will be able to not only collect information, but also aid learning based upon that information. As a result, much of the initial analysis that typically required a human being, can now be done by machines. In the near future, we will see machines gathering a lot of information which will help brands customize their solutions and products for better customer satisfaction.

o Security – For long, security and protection of data has been of the utmost priority for CIOs and CTOs. With the deluge of data in the connected world, security is going to emerge as a key focus area in the futureo Smartphone Market - We believe 2016 will witness traction from a number of foreign brands entering India, giving consumers a plethora of options to choose from. This can be attributed to the strong foothold of e-commerce in India, which allows brands to enter a new market without much need of understanding the marketing and supply chain.
This inflow of new brands might lead to a strong stir in terms of market leadership in the phone market.
