The country is home to around 810 billionaires and 5,547,200 High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), according to the latest report by Henley and Partners (H&P).

Total wealth: $23.3 trillion | Wealth per capita: $16,500 | China, which is known to be one of the largest manufacturing economies and exporters of goods in the world, consists of 234 billionaires.

Total wealth: $20.1 trillion | Wealth per capita: $159,730 | With a population of over 125.8 million, Japan has around 26,220 multi-millionaires and 36 billionaires.

Total wealth: $8.9 trillion | Wealth per capita: $6,440 | India, which is the fifth-largest economy in the world, is home to 3,57,000 HNWIs and 128 billionaires. According to the H&P report, India is expected to overtake Japan before 2040.
