Banks serve different purposes for individuals, institutions and businesses. Whether you are a salaried professional or running your own business, keeping track of
bank holidays is important to ensure the uninterrupted continuity of your financial transactions and other
banking functions. In finance and business planning, knowing bank holidays is very important.
In India, bank holidays, policies and activities are regulated by The Reserve Bank of India. The two kinds of
bank holidays in India are national holidays and regional holidays. While national public holidays are applicable to banks across the country, regional holidays are applicable to the banks located in concerned states only. Over and above, banks in India do not work on Sundays. Banks also do not function on second and fourth Saturdays.
February is the shortest month of the year. However, the month of February does not have many public holidays and so bank activities are not affected to a considerable extent. Here is the complete list of bank holidays for February 2022 including national, regional and weekend holidays.
