Delhi’s grey market, Gaffar market in Karol Bagh, had a visitor from social media giant Facebook and no one knew about it! Chris Cox, the chief product officer at Facebook is in India and toured the largest electronics market of the city.

In a selfie post on Facebook, he wrote, “Today was my first day back at work in 2016 and it was an honor to spend it in Delhi, talking to shop owners, press, publishers, developers, and some complete strangers…”

Cox, who has kickstarted his new year in India, revealed that his visit was aimed at understanding the Indian market better. “…how we can make better products for India. India is the second largest country we serve today, and the place it’s projected one in three of the next billion internet users will come from,” he said in his post.

On his experience about his visit to this wholesale market, he noted, “This market captured something I felt sincerely in every meeting I had today -- a spirit of entrepreneurship and optimism. Thank you to our teams and to everyone who hosted me today.”

Well, here’s wishing him a great and safe trip in India!
