Facebook is rolling out a new 'scrapbook' feature to let parents put all the photos of their kids in one place

There's a new way for parents to put all their kids' pictures in one place on Facebook, the company announced Tuesday.

After conducting a survey among parents who post pictures of their kids on Facebook, the company discovered that 65% of those parents tag their significant other in their kids' pictures so that both partners and their friends can see their children's pictures, Dan Barak, a Facebook product manager, said in Facebook's announcement.

Facebook is introducing a way for parents to organize pictures of their children, so that they can exist in one place instead of scattered throughout different albums and uploads.

Facebook announced the new scrapbook feature on the heels of last week's announcement of A Look Back, a feature that lets you check to see what you posted on Facebook one, two, etc. years ago on this day.

Parents make a personalized "tag" for their child - this could be a child's name, a nickname, or their initials - and then you and your significant other can co-own the album so that you can both upload pictures with your child's personalized tag. The caveat: in order for this to be useful, you and your significant other both have to be on Facebook, obviously, and you have to be listed as in a relationship together.

The feature will be available on desktop, Android, and iPhone in the United States beginning Tuesday, Facebook says.
