Executives say these are the 5 hardest cities to lead a team in
A new study by staffing agency Robert Half Management Resources has revealed five cities where executives report more difficulties with leading a team in.
Robert Half used a telephone survey to poll more than 2,200 CFOs from more than 20 of the largest US metropolitan areas.
To determine which cities are the hardest to lead a team in, researchers examined the percentage of respondents who said it was "significantly or somewhat more challenging to be a company leader today."
Three-fourths (75%) of CFOs in Atlanta said it was more challenging to lead a team in their city.
Philadelphia was close behind with 74%, followed by Seattle with 71%.
Seventy percent of workers in Detroit and New York said leading teams in their cities is more difficult than it was in the past.
"Emerging trends, from the accelerated pace of change and disruptive innovations to dispersed workforces and regulatory compliance demands, have intensified the pressures facing company leaders," said Paul McDonald, senior executive director for Robert Half.
On a positive note, 87% of employees said they are either "very confident" or "somewhat confident" in their company's leaders.
