Ex-Kiwi All-rounder Chris Cairns Resorts To Driving And Cleaning To Sustain Family

In a riches to rags story, former star all-rounder of the New Zealand cricket team, Chris Cairns, has resorted to driving a truck to support his family. The 44-year-old cricketer, regarded my many, as the best Kiwi cricketer, drives a truck for $17 an hour, and cleans bus shelters.

Cairns faces charge for match-fixing. New Zealand’s test batsman Lou Vincent had named him as Mister X, the former star player who allegedly tempted Vincent into match-fixing.

Cairns retired from Tests in 2004 and ODIs in 2006. Former Australian cricketer and a legend of the game Shane Warne had once described Cairns as the best all-rounder in the world.
