Ex-Goldman Sachs banker accused of raping a 20-year-old woman in the Hamptons will go to trial in April
In August 2013, Lee was arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman visiting the United States from Ireland.
Lee has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to a report in East Hampton Patch, Lee's attorney told reporters that the sex was consensual.
The alleged assault happened at Lee's summer rental home on Clover Leaf Lane, East Hampton police said.
Lee and his friends were out celebrating his 37th birthday at Hampton's hot-spot Georgica when he met the 20-year-old Irish woman and her friends, Patch reported citing Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. According to Spota, Lee later invited the woman and her friends back to his summer rental at 4 a.m.
The 20-year-old told police she was going to the bathroom when Lee allegedly forced his way in and raped her.
Police were responding to a disturbance early in the morning involving a car that was believed to be stolen when they learned about the alleged assault on the 20-year-old woman. The woman was taken to a hospital where a rape kit was formed. According to the report in Patch, Spota said a nurse found the woman's injuries "consistent" with her allegations.
The police later found Lee allegedly hiding in his Range Rover.
Lee, who is married, was placed on leave by Goldman following his arrest. We've reached out to Goldman for comment on his current employment status and are awaiting its response.
