Even Facebook admits that Narendra Modi possesses serious social media talent

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of the most social-media savvy world leaders to go around. He’s the most ‘Liked’ world leader on Facebook, second only to US President Barack Obama and his ‘@narendramodi’ Twitter handle has over 20.2 million followers with 5.3 tweets per day.

About the time when the Narendra Modi government completes two years in power, Facebook has shared fresh data that says with 179 million interactions, around three posts every day and a mammoth size of 33 million, Prime Minister Modi leads by example when it comes to being social media savvy.

According to Facebook, Modi’s top post with about 1.6 million likes, 34,000 comments and 123,000 shares was the one that shows Modi's mother Hiraba's recent visit to his official Race Course Road residence in New Delhi.

Second comes the one where he changed his profile picture to show support to Digital India after meeting Mark Zuckerberg. The post has 1.7 million likes, over 37,000 comments and 39,307 shares.

The last one shows the Prime Minister paying homage to APJ Abdul Kalam. The post currently has 1.7 million likes, 29k comments and 72,362 shares.

A look at the numbers show Modi’s other savvy ministers include Rajnath Singh and Smriti Irani. Singh comes second with about 13 million interactions and a page size of about 4 million, and Irani comes third with around 6 million interactions and a page size of about 4 million.
