ESPN did not have rights to the 2018 World Cup, or even to the highlights, thanks to a massive bid from Fox Sports

But the network still found a way to depict the highlights of what was a thrilling World Cup final on its website, using LEGOs.  The network's highlight reel depicts four of the six total goals scored in the final, as well as, humorously, the match official going to video assistant referee to decide on a penalty. 

As for Fox Sports, hosting the World Cup in full on television has not won the network much good will.
