Tanmayi of Timesnow describes the film as Deadpool & Wolverine entertains but lacks depth. Director Shawn Levy focuses on fan service over new surprises. The weak villain and rushed climax are issues, but Marvel fans will still enjoy the humour and visuals.

A film critic for New York and Vulture, Bilge Ebiri, did not seem impressed though. “...is it the movie or the marketing? For better or worse, we live in a world where that question has ceased to matter,” he says criticising the focus on excessive fan service rather than the plot.
