Even though she was seen in some serials before F.I.R, this was the show that made her a star. Her role of inspector Chandramukhi Chautala earned her much fame. However, when she got a chance to do something different in a love-story, she said good bye to F.I.R. The production house decided to give the show a leap and roped in Chak De fame actor Chitrashi Rawat to play the role of Surajmukhi Chautala, the daughter of Chandramukhi Chautala. However, when the popularity of F.I.R began to dip and Kavita’s new show failed to do any wonders, she made a comeback and the whole leap was cast aside as a dream sequence.
