The Vicky Donor fame

debut in Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha,
she bagged the role of Ashima in critically and commercially successful movie Vicky Donor. She was later seen opposite
Ali Zafar in Total Siyapaa but the film
could not repeat the Vicky Donor
magic. She will be seen opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Shoojit Sircar’s Hamara Bajaj and opposite Varun Dhawan
in Sriram Raghavan's next.
Rajeev Khandelwal
Though he started his
career with Dordarshan serial Banphool, he gained recognition after playing the
role of Raj in Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat. Who
can forget the suave businessman Sujal Garewal from Kahiin To Hoga or the charming officer
Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat from Left
Right Left? Even though Rajeev got critical and commercial success in these
roles, he found his true calling in movies when he debuted with the critical
success Aamir in 2008. Today, he has
done over 7 films, including his recent release Samrat & Co.
Sushant Singh Rajput
His long and powerful
stint in television started with Kis Desh
Mein Hai Meraa Dil where he played Preet, the
younger brother of the male lead. He went on to do the lead role in his next
show Pavitra Rishta with Balaji
Telefilms and impressed everyone by his acting talent. He is also known for his
dancing skills, being trained under Shiamak Dawar.
He came close to winning the trophy of the
fourth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Ja. He quit Pavitra Rishta to concentrate on
movies and has established himself in the list of young actors of Indian
cinema. His first movie was Kai Po Che,
after which he did Shuddh Desi Romance
opposite Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor. He would next be seen in Aamir Khan
starring Peekay and Dibakar
Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi.
Ayushmann Khurrana
After winning the second season of MTV Roadies
in 2004, Ayushmann became a RJ in Delhi. To pursue his dreams of making it big
in Bollywood, he moved to Mumbai where he became a VJ of MTV. Later he got into
hosting reality shows and anchored India’s
Got Talent, Music Ka Maha Muqabla
and Just Dance. He also did a
negative role in a show called Ek Thi Rajkumari.
He made his movie debut with Vicky Donor, directed by Shoojit Sircar.
The film became a super hit and his acting was appreciated by both fans and
critics alike. After doing Nautanki Saala
and Bewakoofiyaan, he is all geared
up to appear in Bambai
Fairytale and Hamara Bajaj.
Manoj Bajpai
Not many people know that this national-award
winning actor started his career with the small screen. He appeared in a serial
called Swabhimaan in 1995, where he
played the supporting role of Sunil. Today, he has established himself as the
leading actor in India’s parallel cinema after doing films like Satya, Pinjar and the Gangs of
Wasseypur series.
Manish Paul
All of us have a good
laugh whenever Manish Paul comes on the small screen. His quirkiness and prompt
reactions made him the most lovable host of Indian television. Manish first
appeared in a serial called Chhoona Hai Aasmaan
where he played the role of Flight Lieutenant Farhan Zaidi. He appeared in
several TV shows as actor or host before moving to the big screen. Though his debut movie Mickey Virus didn’t do much success on
the box office, but Manish’s acting was praised by his fans and the critics. He
would now be seen in Tere Bin Laaden 2.
Purab Kohli
We all remember him as the shy lover boy Mazhar Merchant from the
90’s show Hip Hip Hurray, but today Purab
holds much more than just that in his records. After hosting a travel show Gone India and being a VJ for MTV, Purab
did some blink-and-miss roles in films like Bas
Yunhi, Supari and Vastu Shastra, but it was his role of
Nigel in the 2005 film My Brother…Nikhil
that made him earn some recognition as an actor. After that, he has done
several roles in movies like Bas Ek Pal, Rock On!!, Turning 30, I Am and the
recently released Jal.
Shah Rukh Khan
Who can forget to include the name of King Khan
when it comes to making it big in Bollywood from TV? We can’t. One of the the
most loved Indian actor worldwide, he too started his career with the small
screen. It was his roles in serials like Fauji
and Circus that earned him the role
in 1992 film Deewana, and then there
was no looking back for him. Today, he is the face of Bollywood and is an
inspiration for everyone who wants to make it big in Bollywood without having
