The legend of Indian cinema, Mr. Bachchan has not one but seven doctorate degrees from universities around the world. These include degrees from the De Montfort University in Leicester, UK (2006), the Leeds Metropolitan University in Yorkshire, UK (2007), the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia (2011) and the Academy of Arts (Egypt) in Cairo, Egypt (2015). Closer home, he has been given PhDs from the University of Jhansi, (2004), the University of Delhi (2006) and the Jodhpur National University (2013).

The pride of the nation, Lata ji went to school for just one day, but because of her talent, she now has seven doctorate degrees and equivalents to boast of. She has got the honors from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Pune University, Khairagarh Music University, Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad University, Baroda University and the prestigious New York University.

The beautiful yesteryear actress was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Arts by the Edinburgh Napier University in 2012.

The khiladi star was presented with an honorary doctorate degree by the University of Windsor in Canada in 2008 for the social work that he has been doing in both India and Canada.
