You can get paid $1,000 to watch 30 hours of 'Star Wars'

Fans of the "Star Wars" saga can catch up on all the films and Disney Plus series while earning a hefty payday.

Education Reference Desk recently announced a contest in which it will pay five social media users $1,000 to watch 11 "Star Wars" films and season one of Disney Plus' "The Mandalorian" while sharing their thoughts online.

The marathon will last about 30 hours, and the winner will have 4 days to complete it

The lineup consists of the original episodic trilogy ("A New Hope," "The Empire Strikes Back," and "Return of the Jedi"), the prequels ("The Phantom Menace," "Attack of the Clones," and "Revenge of the Sith"), three sequels ("The Force Awakens," "The Last Jedi," "The Rise of Skywalker"), and the non-episodic prequels ("Solo" and "Rogue One").

The winner can watch the films in any order they'd like, and they must also complete the first season of "The Mandalorian" on Disney Plus.

According to the contest page, it will take about 30 hours to watch these flicks, though the winners have four days to do so.

The watcher will also get some "Star Wars" merch (an R2-D2 popcorn popper, Millennium Falcon blanket, and Star Wars Tiki tumbler), a $100 GrubHub gift card, and a year-long subscription to Disney Plus.

Fans can submit an application explaining why they are the perfect Jedi (or Sith Lord) for the job, and the winner must also include their strongest and most active social media handle when they apply. The deadline is 12 p.m. MDT on May 3.

This isn't the first time that a company has offered cash to fans willing to binge-watch movies
