Emerging in 2021, Mormon Momtok quickly blew up, with users fascinated by the insights into the women's unconventional lives.
In 2022, the group became embroiled in what was dubbed a "soft-swinging" scandal after leading member Taylor Frankie Paul claimed couples had swapped partners to do everything but penetrative sex. The other women denied the soft-swinging happened, causing a rift in the group against Taylor.
Things got worse for Taylor after she and her husband divorced after she cheated on him.
Hulu's show follows the group from 2022 to early 2024 as Taylor makes amends with her former friends and the rest of the moms try to rebuild the community.
Taylor Frankie Paul
Taylor, 30, is the most famous and controversial member of the group, which she started with Whitney, Mayci, and Mikayla.
Taylor has three children: two with her first husband, Tate Paul, and a third, born in March, with her current partner, Dakota Mortensen.
In February 2023, Taylor was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault against Dakota, but they stayed together after the incident. In August 2023, Taylor took a plea deal and served one day in prison.
Taylor had the most followers of the group, with 4.2 million on TikTok and 430,000 on Instagram.

Mayci, 29, is another original member of the Mormon #Momtok group.
In an Instagram post shared in February, Mayci said she got pregnant with her first child at 19, but the son's father died in a car crash. Mayci raised the child alone and returned to college to complete her degree and continue her tennis career.
Mayci added that she married her husband, Jacob Neeley, after college and had another child with him using IVF.
In February, Mayci launched Babymama, a gummy company for mothers.

Mikayla Matthews
Mikayla, 24, is the fourth original member of the Mormon Momtok group, and one of the youngest.
Mikayla was raised Mormon but shared on TikTok that she is no longer a member of the church.
Mikayla has three children with her husband, Jace Terry, whom she met when she was 16 and he was 21.
Mikayla became pregnant under the age of consent, but Utah's Romeo and Juliet laws allow minors aged 16 to 17 to consent to sexual activity with an adult who is no more than 10 years their senior.
Mikayla had 2.4 million followers on TikTok and 254,000 followers on Instagram.
Demi Engemann
Demi, 30, is another MomToker in an age-gap relationship.
Demi had a daughter with her first husband but divorced him at the age of 24. Now, she is married to Bret Engemann, a 46-year-old former quarterback for the Oakland Raiders and a current managing partner at Armstrong Consulting Group, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Bret was married twice before and has two sons from the previous marriages.
Demi had 377,000 followers on TikTok and 144,000 followers on Instagram.
Jennifer Affleck
Yes, Jennifer "Jen" Affleck is loosely related to the famous Affleck brothers. Her husband, Zac Affleck, is Casey and Ben Afflecks' second cousin.
