​Veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik passes away​

66-year-old actor Satish Kaushik, known for his expert comic timing, passed away on March 8, 2023, due to a heart attack. An alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India, Kaushik started his career in theatre and was also a director and writer.

​Sidharth Shukla, 49​

On September 2, 2021, TV actor and model Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack. The winner of reality shows Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, Shukla also starred in shows Balika Vadhu, Broken But Beautiful 3, and Dil Se Dil Tak. He made his Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

​Raju Srivastav, 58​

Indian comedian, actor and politician Satya Prakash Srivastav aka Raju Srivastav passed away in September 2022, after being hospitalized for over a month after a heart attack. He is best known for participating in the comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, where he was the second runner-up.

​Puneeth Rajkumar, 46​

Indian actor and producer Puneeth Rajkumar was only 46 when he passed away in October 2021. One of the most loved stars of Kannada cinema, his untimely death sent shockwaves across the industry and among his fans — many of whom arrived in Bengaluru to pay their last respects.

​Krishnakumar Kunnath, 53

Indian singer Krishnakumar Kunnath or KK, known for his songs like Pal and Yaaron, died due to a heart attack after performing at a concert in Kolkata. Initially, foul play was suspected but the autopsy made the cause of death clear. Among the many who offered condolences were PM Modi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, and fellow stars and actors.

​Brahma Swaroop Mishra, 36​

Brahma Swaroop Mishra, best known for playing Lalit in the hit web series Mirzapur, died aged 36. The actor also appeared in movies like Kesari, Dangal, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, etc, and even shot a promotional video with actor Manoj Bajpayee for Amazon Prime Video.

Arvind Trivedi, 82

Indian actor and politician Arvind Trivedi died on October 6, 2021, due to a heart attack. The 82-year-old star became a household name after playing Raavan in the 1987 television series Ramayan. However, he primarily starred in Gujarati cinema.

​Reema Lagoo, 58​

Known for playing the role of mother in multiple Hindi films, Reema Lagoo was a theatre artist who worked in movies and TV. She starred in hit sitcoms of the 90s like Shriman Shrimati and Tu Tu Main Main. She died on May 18, 2017, due to a cardiac arrest.

​Farooq Sheikh, 65​

One of the most loved stars of Indian cinema, Farooq Sheikh was a National Film Award winner who worked in movies like Garam Hawa, Umrao Jaan, Chashme Buddoor, Lahore, and others. In December 2013 he was on a vacation with his family in Dubai when he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

​Sushmita Sen survives a heart attack​

Former Miss Universe and actor Sushmita Sen recently shared that she suffered from a serious heart attack, with 95 percent blockage in the main artery. The star underwent an angioplasty. She recently said on Instagram that she’s recovered enough to resume working out.
