- Taylor Swift has apparently been trying her hand at drawing up plays ahead of the new NFL season.
- That's according to the Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Taylor Swift wants the Kansas City Chiefs to keep winning and has apparently taken matters into her own hands to ensure they do so.
According to the team's star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the singer has turned her attention to drawing up plays for the team.
Speaking to NBC ahead of the new NFL season, Mahomes praised Swift for her involvement and interest in the NFL since she began dating his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce.
She's "the most famous person in the world," Mahomes said, adding that "she's really interested in football."
"She asks a lot of great questions," he continued. "She's already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."
The Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl for the fourth time earlier this year, will kick off the new season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
It's not been confirmed yet whether the Grammy award-winning musician will be present at Arrowhead Stadium to support Kelce on the big day.
A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent by Business Insider, which was sent outside regular working hours.
Mahomes went on to praise the pop star for the role she has played in promoting the NFL to young girls and women.
"I think it's been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football," the three-time Super Bowl MVP said.
"I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls and daughters and how much they're loving to spend time with their dad, watching football," Mahomes said.
Swift has attended and cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs at multiple games since she began dating Kelce last year, and some have playfully pointed out Kelce's improved on-field performance when Swift is watching on.
"I'm just there to support Travis," Swift told Time in a rare interview last year. "I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads."
