- Netflix released a report outlining viewing totals for its titles from January to June 2023.
- It's the most comprehensive report of its kind that Netflix has released to date.
Netflix, a company known for its leveraging of data, has released its most detailed viewership report to date — and its top-ranking shows may surprise you.
In a December press release, the platform announced that it would publish biannual engagement reports on what viewers watched on Netflix. The first "What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report" tracked title performance from January to June 2023.
The data, which includes over 18,000 titles, includes the number of hours each was viewed in a six month time period, whether or not it was available to stream globally, and when it premiered. According to Netflix, the titles in the report reflect 99% of all viewing on the platform, and total close to 100 billion hours of watch time. If you want to check it out yourself, you can download the full set here.
