Saoirse Ronan has shared some details about the "Weird Barbie" role she almost played.

The cameo was first revealed in December by "Wonka" star Timothée Chalamet, who said he was also meant to have a role in the movie.

"I don't know what he was going to be, but I was definitely going to be a Weird Barbie. I don't know how to take that," Ronan said in an interview with Variety.

She added that the scene would have seen her act alongside Kate McKinnon, who plays "Weird Barbie" in the movie, a doll that has been disfigured by being played with too much.

"That would have been nice," Ronan continued. "I had a scene but didn't ever get to do it, and it wasn't in the movie."

Asked about what the scene would involve, she said: "I can't even remember now, but it was weird."

"I think I'd be the strange girl who talked to herself and always had her pet dog with her and always talked to the dog and wouldn't look at anyone," she continued.

It sounds like Ronan could have been asked to play the crop top and cargo-pants-wearing Barbie that was first launched with a pooping dog toy, Tanner.

Released in 2006, the Barbie and Tanner set featured a version of the Mattel doll with a dog toy who could "eat" treats and then poop them out with a press of his tail.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled the toy a year after its launch as its poop scoop accessory contained a small magnet that could come loose and potentially be swallowed by children.

Appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Chalamet teased that he and Ronan would have played "some of the rejected Kens or Barbies."

Some of the rejected dolls featured in the movie included Growing Up Skipper, a doll that could grow breasts that was played by Hannah Khalique-Brown, and Sugar Daddy Ken, a doll that sparked controversy with its "suggestive" name, which was played by Welsh actor Rob Brydon.

Ronan and Chalamet, who previously starred in director Greta Gerwig's "Lady Bird" and "Little Women," are not the only actors who almost appeared in "Barbie." Dan Levy recently revealed that he was supposed to play one of the Kens but had to pass on the opportunity due to scheduling conflicts.
