Ryan Reynolds says he didn't want to make 'Deadpool 3' on a soundstage, but telephoto paparazzi cameras keep spoiling the movie as they film it

Ryan Reynolds really wants you to stop spoiling "Deadpool 3."
In a post to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, Reynolds said that surprises are "part of the magic of theatrical movies."
"Here's hoping that some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they're ready," the Marvel star wrote. "This film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen."
Reynolds said that he and the film's producers didn't want to film the superhero blockbuster indoors on a soundstage — where they'd need to rely on digital effects but would be safe from prying eyes.
"It's important for us to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments, using practical effects," Reynolds wrote.
But "telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone," he added.
Still, Reynolds said he gets it: people post spoilers in part because they're excited.
"It's firmly in the 'good problems' bucket," he wrote.
"Deadpool 3" is one of the most anticipated movies next year, a follow-up to the wildly successful first two installments about a regenerating, wisecracking, foul-mouthed mercenary hanging out with X-men.
Expectations are even higher for "Deadpool 3" after recent Marvel installments like "The Marvels" bombed at the box office.
