David Beckham's former assistant Rebecca Loos has blasted the soccer star for playing the "victim" while discussing their alleged affair in his recently released Netflix docuseries.

In a video interview that the Daily Mail published on Saturday, Loos, 46, spoke out about her and the 48-year-old soccer star's affair scandal for the first time since "Beckham" began streaming.

"He's making himself the victim and making me look like the liar. He's making me look like I made up these horrible stories," Loos said. "It's all, 'poor me.' He needs to take responsibility."

The four-episode retrospective of Beckham's life and career was released in early October and brought renewed attention to Loos, who claimed in a 2004 interview that she and the then-Real Madrid player had slept together several times while he was married to Victoria Beckham.

Loos went on to tell the Daily Mail that the way Beckham addressed the affair scandal in "Beckham" suggested that she was the one who "made Victoria suffer."

The former England captain has always denied any claims of infidelity and obliquely referred to the alleged affair saga in the docuseries, saying there were "some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with."

He said they put an unprecedented amount of "pressure" on his marriage to the Spice Girls singer and designer, adding: "I don't know how we got through it, in all honesty."

"Victoria is everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family, and what we had was worth fighting for," Beckham said.

Loos said: "The stories were horrible but they were true. And he's the one who is responsible for all of this."

Loos said Beckham blaming his wife's suffering on her "bothered" her because "he's the one who's responsible. He's the one who decides to lie to her, to say we don't have to tell my wife. He's made all those choices."

Loos said that even though she received "so much hatred" after the docuseries was released, she's decided to speak out because "if I remain silent I will be known as the liar, the one who made up the stories."

"I also have a family and I also have children and they have Google. They can also watch the documentaries and I want them to know that their mother was brave enough to stand up against them and to stand up for the truth."

She stated that, ultimately, she doesn't have any regrets: "I've very much accepted the choice that I've made, and the mistakes that I've made. I've come to terms with them."

"That path, those mistakes, everything I've learned along the way has brought me to where I am today and I am in the most wonderful, wonderful place I could be. I'm so grateful, I have the most incredible husband, children, family," Loos added.
