"The Power of the Dog" got a bump in viewership after Oscar nominations were announced last week.
Netflix's "The Power of the Dog" got an Oscars bump in viewership last week.
Oscar nominations were announced on February 8 and Netflix led all other studios, buoyed by 12 nominations for its Western drama "The Power of the Dog," the most of any movie.
The movie re-entered Netflix's weekly ranking of its most-watched movies this week, with 5.46 million hours viewed from February 7 to February 13. It hasn't been on the list since its second week of release in December.
Every Tuesday, Netflix updates its weekly rankings of its most popular movies and TV shows. The lists are based on hours watched during the previous week.
"The Power of the Dog" didn't top this latest update, though. The biggest movie was the true-crime documentary "The Tinder Swindler," with 64.7 million hours viewed last week.
