Netflix, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar, Voot Select cheapest subscription plans compared

  • Whereas Disney+ Hotstar’s ₹399 plan gives you access to only Indian content for a year.

People are watching new movies and shows on streaming platforms more than ever. With lockdown still placed in some parts of the country, browsing an OTT platform has become the most popular hobby among people.

Business Insider India has picked up all the cheapest subscription plans offered by Netflix, Zee5, Disney+Hotstar, Voot Select, Alt Balaji. These plan range from ₹99 to ₹999 and have different benefits and conditions.

For instance, Netflix’s cheapest mobile-only plan at ₹199 for a month does not support HD content or allows users to use more than one screen. Whereas Disney+ Hotstar’s ₹399 plan gives you access to only Indian content. Amazon Prime Videos does not have options in subscription plans. It offers the monthly and yearly Prime membership which also includes Prime Videos.

Several other platforms like Netflix and Zee5 are testing a cheaper subscription plan for Indian consumers. According to Indian Express, Netflix is planning to introduce an HD mobile-only plan at ₹349.
