- Netflix has announced over 20 new series that are set to premiere sometime in 2024.
- They include titles like "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "3 Body Problem."
On the cusp of 2024, Netflix has already announced an exciting slate of titles to kick the year off.
Upcoming series include the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender," which brings the world of the Avatar and elemental benders to life. Sofía Vergara is set to executive produce and star in the crime drama "Griselda," playing the titular drug lord. And David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of HBO's "Game of Thrones," are bringing an adaptation of Chinese science-fiction author Liu Cixin's "3 Body Problem" to the screen.
But there's plenty more on the slate for 2024 — here's everything we know about what Netflix has announced so far.
1. The crime drama "Fool Me Once" is the streamer's latest adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel.
Netflix synopsis: "'Fool Me Once' follows Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage). But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house: her husband, who she thought was dead."

2. "Delicious in Dungeon" is an anime series adapted from the manga of the same name.
Netflix synopsis: "Laios and his friends Marcille and Chilchuck delve into an endless dungeon in search of his fallen sister, fighting monsters, starvation, and corruption."

3. "The Brothers Sun" sees two brothers step up to run a triad after the death of their father.
Netflix synopsis: "When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, legendary killer Charles "Chairleg" Sun (Justin Chien), heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who's been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now."

4. "The Trust" is a reality series in which players have to decide themselves how to divvy up the prize.
Netflix synopsis: "In this reality series, strangers compete to share a quarter of a million dollars. Will they split it evenly — or cut each other out to raise their take?"

5. "Killer Soup" is a crime series about a home chef with restaurant aspirations.

6. "Boy Swallows Universe" is an Australian coming-of-age tale about a teenager who has to deal with a criminal underworld.
Netflix synopsis: "An epic coming-of-age story set in 1980s Brisbane that blends the magic and innocence of youth with the brutal reality of the adult world. A lost father, a mute brother, a recovering addict mum, a heroin dealer for a stepfather, and a notorious criminal for a babysitter. Eli Bell is just trying to follow his heart and understand what it means to become a good man, but fate keeps throwing obstacles in his way."

7. "The Bequeathed" is a supernatural drama based on a webtoon by Kang Tae-kyung.
Netflix synopsis: "After the death of an unknown uncle, a woman inherits a burial ground and finds herself in the center of a string of murders and dark secrets."

8. "Griselda" introduces audiences to one of the most infamous drug lords of all time.
Netflix synopsis: "'Griselda' is inspired by the life of the savvy and ambitious Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. In 1970s-80s Miami, Blanco's lethal blend of unsuspected savagery and charm helped her expertly navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as 'the Godmother.'"

9. "One Day" is a limited series based on a book of the same name by David Nicholls.
Netflix synopsis: "After spending graduation night together, Emma and Dexter go their separate ways — but their lives remain intertwined."

10. "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is the live-action adaptation of the fan-favorite animated series.
Netflix synopsis: "Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world. With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope.
But like a light in the darkness, hope springs forth when Aang (Gordon Cormier), a young Air Nomad — and the last of his kind — reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. 11. "Supersex" is a drama based on the life of porn star Rocco Siffredi.

12. "The Signal" is a space-set mystery miniseries.
Netflix synopsis: "Paula is a scientist aboard the International Space Station. She disappears without a trace on her flight home to her family, leaving Sven and his daughter with a riddle which could shake the entire earth. Up there, in the depths of space, Paula made an unbelievable discovery."

13. "3 Body Problem" is the newest project from “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
Netflix synopsis: "A young woman's fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity's history."

14. "The Gentlemen" is a spinoff of the Guy Ritchie movie of the same name.
Netflix synopsis: "'The Gentlemen' sees Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherit his father's sizable country estate — only to discover it's part of a cannabis empire. Moreover, a host of unsavory characters from Britain's criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. 15. "Dead Boy Detectives" is about a pair of ghostly detectives, and is set in the same universe as "The Sandman."

19. "Dee & Friends in Oz" is a children’s animated adventure series set in the world of Oz.

20. "Mighty MonsterWheelies" combines Universal Monsters with trucks.

21. "Ripley" stars Andrew Scott as a con man in the 1960s.

23. "Billionaire Island" is about two rival family fishing dynasties.
