Miley Cyrus' powers of manifestation should be studied.

Earlier this year, when Cyrus won record of the year at the Grammys for her smash hit "Flowers," fans unearthed an old clip of her preparing to win that very award on an episode of "Hannah Montana."

"Beyoncé, I can't believe I'm even in the same category as you," her Disney Channel character (also named Miley) recites in the clip while choking back tears.

Less than two months after Cyrus won the prize in real life, the second half of her vision came to pass: she appeared alongside Beyoncé on the latter's new album "Cowboy Carter."

Their stirring duet "II Most Wanted," which interpolates the chord progression from Fleetwood Mac's classic hit "Landslide," has emerged as an early favorite from the 27-song tracklist. Critics have praised Cyrus and Beyoncé as "two pop chameleons," delivering a "tastefully restrained" and well-balanced performance.

Although they may seem like an unexpected pair, this actually isn't the first time Cyrus and Beyoncé have blended their powerful vocals.

Back when Cyrus was a teenager, she sang with Beyoncé and other stars for the 2008 "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.

Cyrus reflected on this milestone during a filmed career retrospective last year.

"Here's me sandwiched between Beyoncé and Rihanna," she said, pointing to a photo from the event. "I was standing in between two of the biggest legends and icons that I was looking up to at the time, and they treated me like a little sister the entire time."

"I got brackets on the back of my teeth and I'm singing with Beyoncé!" she added.

After "Cowboy Carter" was released last Friday, Cyrus reshared the clip on her Instagram Story as part of a montage — proving her credentials as a lifelong member of the Beyhive.

One video shows a young Cyrus on the red carpet, citing Beyoncé as a "big role model." In another, Cyrus says her favorite piece in her closet is a customized cheetah-print jacket that Beyoncé gave her as a Christmas gift.

The montage seemed to resonate with Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, who reshared the clips on her own Instagram.

"My favorite song on the album is 2 most wanted with Miley Cyrus ! (It changes daily)," she wrote in the caption. "It makes me cry almost every time it reminds me of my friendships."

Cyrus shared her own tribute to the song on Instagram, making sure to reiterate her admiration for Beyoncé.

"I've loved Beyoncé since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her," Cyrus wrote. "My admiration runs so much deeper now that I've created along side of her."

"Thank you Beyoncé. You're everything & more. Love you," she continued. "To everyone who spent time making this song so special thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Cyrus' godmother Dolly Parton is also featured on "Cowboy Carter," playing the role of narrator on tracks "Dolly P" and "Tyrant" and loaning her iconic country song "Jolene" for Beyoncé to cover (with her own ferocious twist).
