Adam Harrison, the son of "Pawn Stars" personality Rick Harrison, has died at age 39.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal initially reported Adam's death, and a representative for the Harrison family confirmed to the outlet that Adam died from an overdose and was discovered on Friday.
"Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss," the family's statement reads, per the Review-Journal.
A representative for the Harrison family confirmed the death to Business Insider in an email on Saturday.
On Instagram, Rick paid tribute to his son with a brief message on Friday.
"You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam," the patriarch wrote.
After starring on the History Channel's "Pawn Stars," the Harrison family became household names." The popular reality series followed the Harrisons as they ran their family-owned business, the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. Since 2009, cameras have profiled the family and their interactions with customers.

Rick Harrison became the face of "Pawn Stars" after the series launched in 2009.
According to the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop's official website, Rick's father — Richard B. Harrison — moved their family from San Diego to Las Vegas in 1980. Richard initially opened a coin store, but Rick converted it into a pawn shop in 1988.
Per the website, Rick wanted media exposure for the shop and ardently pitched a potential series to several networks before the History Channel picked it up.
The shop later became the focus of the 2009 TV series "Pawn Stars." So far, the series has 21 seasons and amassed a loyal fan base.
The Review-Journal reported that Rick has six children and two former wives. Per the outlet, Rick shares his two eldest sons — Corey and Adam — with his first wife, Kim. He later married and welcomed his third son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy, per the outlet. He also has three daughters: Sarina, Ciana, and Marissa, according to the Review-Journal.
According to Fox News, Harrison married his third wife, Deanna, in 2013, but the couple divorced in 2020. CBS News reports that Rick is married to a woman named Amanda Palmer.
Outside "Pawn Stars," Rick has faced legal troubles. Screen Rant reported in January 2024 that Rick's 81-year-old mother sued him over their family assets and for ownership of the pawn shop. The lawsuit seeks "an accounting of assets, unspecified damages, and a court order banning Rick from using funds belonging to his mother," per the outlet.
Corey Harrison starred on "Pawn Stars" alongside his father and grandfather.
Corey is Rick's oldest son, whom he shares with his first wife, Kim, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
He became a fixture on the show and appeared in spin-offs like "Pawnography" and "Pawn Stars Do America."
On Instagram, Corey often shared photos of him with his father and Chumlee, a regular on "Pawn Stars."
On Friday, Corey made a post about Adam's death.
"Wax wtf I will always love you bubba," he wrote.
