Adam Harrison, the son of "Pawn Stars" personality Rick Harrison, has died at age 39.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal initially reported Adam's death, and a representative for the Harrison family confirmed to the outlet that Adam died from an overdose and was discovered on Friday.
"Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss," the family's statement reads, per the Review-Journal.
A representative for the Harrison family confirmed the death to Business Insider in an email on Saturday.
On Instagram, Rick paid tribute to his son with a brief message on Friday.
"You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam," the patriarch wrote.
After starring on the History Channel's "Pawn Stars," the Harrison family became household names." The popular reality series followed the Harrisons as they ran their family-owned business, the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. Since 2009, cameras have profiled the family and their interactions with customers.
