Lisa Kudrow says she doesn't watch 'Friends' because she hopes to someday revisit it with her costars
  • "Friends" star Lisa Kudrow explained why she doesn't watch the hit show that she starred on during a new interview with Jennifer Aniston for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series.
  • "I'm still not watching it in the hopes that one day we sit down and watch them together," Kudrow said.

Lisa Kudrow explained why she doesn't watch "Friends" during a new interview with costar Jennifer Aniston.

"I don't watch the show," Kudrow said in response to Aniston asking what her favorite episode of the show is during a conversation, which was done virtually for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series.

She added: "I'm still not watching it in the hopes that one day we sit down and watch them together."

Although Kudrow hasn't revisited the show, Aniston admitted that she enjoys "stumbling on a 'Friends' episode," and watched bloopers with costar Courteney Cox.

Kudrow and Aniston are perhaps most-known for their roles as Phoebe Buffay and Rachel Green on the NBC sitcom, which lasted for 10 seasons between 1994 and 2004. Even though it's been 16 years since the series, Aniston, Kudrow, and the rest of the main cast members continue to stay in touch. They've accompanied each other at red carpet events and shared photos from their reunions.

In October 2019, Aniston made her Instagram debut and broke the app by sharing a rare photo of her and costars Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry gathered together.

In February 2020, the "Friends" stars confirmed that they'd be participating in an unscripted reunion special for HBO Max, a new streaming service.

The reunion was originally supposed to be recorded in March at Warner Bros. Studio's Stage 24 in Burbank, California, which is where the original series was taped.

It was originally expected to be ready for the launch of HBO Max in late May, but due to the spread of the coronavirus, filming has been postponed. A new release date for the unscripted special has yet to be announced.
