Lawyer claims alleged 'Baby Reindeer' stalker Fiona Harvey became obsessed with her after they worked together

A British lawyer has claimed that the alleged "Baby Reindeer" stalker Fiona Harvey was obsessed with her for years, longer than actor Richard Gadd.

"Baby Reindeer" is based on the experiences of Gadd, who plays Donny Donn, with a stalker several years ago. In the series, Gadd is stalked for an unknown period of time, whereas he told The Times in April that it happened over four years in real life.

The woman is given the false name Martha Scott in "Baby Reindeer," but as the show became a pop culture phenomenon, audiences looked for the real person that she's based on.

Social media was ablaze with theories and speculation, and people soon pointed the finger at Harvey.

Harvey denied stalking Gadd and has since threatened legal action against both the actor and Netflix.

During an appearance on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" on Wednesday, British lawyer Laura Wray claimed that Harvey harassed her after she was fired from L&L Lawrence Solicitors in 1997, after just two weeks of office work.

Wray told Business Insider Harvey harassed her from around October 1997 to May 2002.

"She was dreadful, rude to staff. She shouted at people. She was inappropriate with a male member of staff," Wray told Morgan. "She tried to follow a male member of staff home. I mean all sorts of things happened. She threw a book across the office and hit somebody with it."

Wray, who was a senior partner at the firm, said she told Harvey she wasn't "cut out" for the role and asked her to leave, but said she refused.

"Eventually, my cashier and I had to march her out. And she stood there for at least half an hour screaming abuse," Wray said.

Wray claimed Harvey went on to harass her by leaving her threatening voicemail messages every day.

"I seem to have been her major obsession over all these years," Wray said.

She added: "She was harassing my family for many years, for longer than Richard Gadd."

In an interview on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" in May, Harvey denied harassing Wray and her family.

During the interview, Wray also claimed Harvey falsely reported her to social services for abusing her disabled son, who was three years old at the time.

Wray told The Mirror in May: "She made some bizarre allegation that I was in my car driving and somehow managed to hit my son who was sitting in the back of the car in the child seat."

She added: "Eventually, it was all dropped, but that's when I went for an interim injunction. Thankfully, it worked. She didn't defend it. We never heard any more from her."

Representatives for Fiona Harvey did not immediately respond to Business Insider's requests for comment.
