Forbes published a report on Friday that claimedKylie Jenner is no longer a billionaire, and accused her of providing the magazine with forged tax returns to inflate her wealth.- Jenner responded in a series of tweets, slamming the magazine for "inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions."
- "i've never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period," she wrote.
- "'even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that's your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading."
- A Forbes spokesperson told Insider that the publication stands by its reporting: "Today's extensively reported investigation was triggered by newly filed documents that revealed glaring discrepancies between information privately supplied to journalists and information publicly supplied to shareholders. Our reporters spotted the inaccuracies and spent months uncovering the facts."
Kylie Jenner has slammed Forbes after the magazine published a report on Friday, stripping the 22-year-old of her billionaire status.
Less than one year ago, in August 2019, Forbes crowned then-21-year-old Jenner "The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever."
But the new report, titled "Inside Kylie Jenner's Web of Lies — and Why She's No Longer a Billionaire," said that Jenner and her mother, Kris Jenner, inflated the revenue of her company, Kylie Cosmetics, in documents provided to Forbes last year.
Forbes said the Jenners had previously invited the publication into their homes and accountants' offices and provided Forbes with tax returns "that were likely forged," though that does not mean the tax returns she filed were fraudulent.

According to Forbes, Jenner's team was aware of the new findings, but failed to dispute them when reporters requested a comment.
The article ended with the disclaimer: "As usual, we asked the Jenners for input on our numbers. But pressed for answers on the many discrepancies, the typically chatty family did something out of character: They stopped answering our questions."
Additionally, a spokesperson told Insider that Forbes stands by its reporting.
"Today's extensively reported investigation was triggered by newly filed documents that revealed glaring discrepancies between information privately supplied to journalists and information publicly supplied to shareholders," the spokesperson said in a statement. "Our reporters spotted the inaccuracies and spent months uncovering the facts."
Just a few hours after the report was published, Jenner reacted to the news on Twitter: "what am i even waking up to."
"i thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol," she wrote. "i've never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period."

"'even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that's your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading," she continued.
"but okay," Jenner continued on Twitter, adding a white heart emoji. "i am blessed beyond my years, i have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and i'm doing perfectly fine."

Indeed, Jenner made a lucrative business decision in November 2019, when she sold a majority stake in her namesake makeup company to beauty conglomerate Coty Inc. She has also expanded her cosmetics line to include Kylie Skin.
Her daughter, Stormi Webster, turned 2 years old in February.
The 22-year-old mogul added: "i can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much
She also replied to a critic who asked, "This is what you're worried about right now?"
"this is literally the LAST thing i'm worried about right now," Jenner wrote.

Jenner's replies on Twitter have been flooded with similar criticisms, imploring the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister to use her platform for activism.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests in Minneapolis, sparked by George Floyd's death on Monday, many feel that Jenner's focus on Forbes' report is tone-deaf and unnecessary.

Many fans, however, pointed out that Jenner has already condemned systemic racism and police brutality on Instagram.
"since watching the most devastating and completely heartbreaking video showing the murder of George Floyd earlier this week I haven't been able to get his face and his words out of my mind," she wrote.
"speaking up is long overdue for the rest of us," she continued. "we're currently dealing with two horrific pandemics in our country, and we can't sit back and ignore the fact that racism is one of them."
"i fear for my daughter and i hope for a better future for her. my heart breaks for George Floyd's family and friends. Don't let his name be forgotten."
