Kourtney Kardashian Barker recreates sister Kim Kardashian's iconic pregnancy Met Gala look for Halloween, a whole decade later
- Kourtney Kardashian Barker kicked off Halloween by transforming into her younger sibling Kim Kardashian.
- In photos posted to Instagram, she recreated her sister's memorable 2013 Met Gala maternity look.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker didn't look far for inspiration for her Halloween look this year.
Instead, the reality star appeared to raid younger sister Kim Kardashian's wardrobe.
In photos shared to her Instagram account Friday, Kardashian Barker recreated one of her younger sister's most memorable Met Gala looks, wearing the same floral Riccardo Tisci that Kardashian was mercilessly mocked for 10 years ago.
"Freaky Friday," Kardashian Barker captioned the post that showed her posing with her hands cradling her baby bump and sticking her leg out of the dress' dramatic slit, just as her sister did on the red carpet.
The Poosh founder — who is expecting a child with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker — even slipped into what appear to be the exact heels Kardashian wore with the dress.
She completed the look by copying Kardashian's hair and makeup from the event, styling her hair into a sleek low ponytail, with a bold red shade on her lips.
Kardashian wore the skintight floral dress to her very first Met Gala in 2013, which she attended while heavily pregnant with her first child, North West, now 10.
The look immediately became a meme, with people comparing the maternity gown to everything from Robin Williams' "Mrs Doubtfire" character to a grandma-print couch.
Speaking to Vogue in 2019, the Skims founder said she was left devastated by the hurtful comments and cried "the whole way home" even though fashionistas Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen told her they "loved" the look.
Now that time has passed, Kardashian appears to have seen the funny side and reacted to her older sister's choice of Halloween outfit in good humor.
She shared Kardashian Baker's post to her Instagram Stories later on Friday, adding three clapping hand emojis below to show her approval.
Kardashian Baker's choice to dress as her sister is seemingly a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that the siblings have feuded in the past over accusations of copying each other.
A few months after the oldest Kardashian sister tied the knot with her rocker husband in May 2022, she accused her sister of copying her gothic romance wedding theme for a Dolce & Gabbana collaboration.
Kardashian shot back that Kardashian Baker's Italian wedding had similar aspects to her own nuptials in 2014 to Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
"I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy? Who performed at my wedding? Who performed at Kourtney's wedding? Andrea Bocelli," she said on "The Kardashians."
