Katherine Heigl has returned to the Emmy Awards after a decade.
On Monday, Heigl walked the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet in a strapless red gown by Reem Acra.
The dress also featured a silver broach along the waistline that matched her necklace and clutch purse. Heigl completed the ensemble with red lipstick and a coiffed blonde bob that channeled old Hollywood glamour.
Heigl told E! News that she wore her "sparkly" Christian Louboutin heels to the event.
Heigl last attended the awards ceremony in August 2014. At the time, Heigl wore a vintage John Hayles dress with Louboutin heels and a matching clutch designed by Oroton, per People.
Although Heigl wasn't nominated for an award this year, she snagged an Emmy in 2007 for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for her work in "Grey's Anatomy."
"Grey's Anatomy" fans got another treat on Monday night when cast members Justin Chambers, Ellen Pompeo, James Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, and Heigl reunited onstage.
"When the first episode of Grey's Anatomy aired in March 2005, I'm not sure Shonda Rhimes knew that she had created a show that would have a lasting imprint on television and create lifelong friendships," Pompeo said.
Chambers added: "Over 400 episodes and counting, a tribute to everyone who has been a part of our family."
Heigl then made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the cast's controversies, including her contentious exit from the series in 2010.
"And yes, there have been some changes over the years," Heigl said. "But the one thing that has remained a constant is the incredible fan base."
In a December 2022 interview with SiriusXM host Bevy Smith, Heigl clarified that she left because the work conditions were affecting her health.
"Like, if I could have found a way to work within it, that could have also worked for me," Heigl said. "But I only saw it as this one thing: I was up here at a level of intensity that was not healthy for me. And I just kind of fled in a panic."
Heigl added that she experienced "heightened anxiety" during her time on "Grey's Anatomy."
"I think with 'Grey's' at that time, I didn't feel I had any other choice [but to leave]," Heigl said. "I was breaking, it was breaking me, and I was young."
