Kanye West has reportedly been dumped by talent agency CAA, and a film studio has scrapped a finished documentary about the rapper in the wake of his antisemitic remarks

  • Famed talent agency CAA is the latest company to cut ties with Kanye West following his recent antisemitic remarks.
  • In addition, film and TV studio MRC said it's shelving a completed documentary about the rapper.

The fallout from Kanye West's recent antisemitic rants keeps growing.

On Monday, multiple news outlets reported that famed talent agency CAA has dropped Ye, as he is now known.

The same day, film and TV studio MRC said it's shelving a completed documentary on the rapper and Yeezy entrepreneur.

Executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley said in a memo that "we cannot support any content that amplifies his platform," Variety reported.

"Kanye is a producer and sampler of music," the memo reads. "Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3,000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain."

"The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism in general is dismaying but not surprising," the memo continued. "What is new and sad, is the fear Jews have about speaking out in their own defense."

The news comes after Ye posted an antisemitic message on Twitter earlier this month saying he was "going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE." His account was subsequently locked because the tweet violated Twitter's policies.

This weekend, a group of demonstrators were seen at a Los Angeles freeway overpass holding signs that read, "Kanye is right about the Jews."

CAA and MRC are just the latest companies to sever ties with West, joining a list that includes Balenciaga and Vogue.

The announcements add to mounting pressure on Adidas to do the same. Earlier this month, the company said its partnership with West was "under review," and the Anti-Defamation League has since called on Adidas to "reconsider supporting the Ye product line."

Last month, West said he would "go it alone" after his deals with Adidas and Gap expired in 2026 and 2030, respectively. In early October, he released a 30-minute video in which he appeared to show porn to Adidas executives and accused them of stealing his ideas.

West has also made headlines recently for donning a "White Lives Matter" shirt to his Yeezy fashion show at Paris Fashion Week and for entering into a deal to buy right-wing social media platform Parler, which he says he was moved to do after being restricted on Twitter and Instagram. The latter platform had restricted West's account after he posted a screenshot appearing to show a text exchange in which he told Sean "Diddy" Combs, "Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me."

On Monday, West's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, appeared to address West's antisemitic remarks in a message of her own, writing on Twitter, "Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end."
