A Manhattan jury has found Marvel actor Jonathan Majors guilty of some domestic abuse charges, and acquitted him of others, on Monday.

The jury acquitted Majors of assault with intent to cause injury, but found that he is guilty of recklessly assaulting and injuring his ex-girlfriend.

They also found that he harassed her.

Neither Majors nor his current girlfriend, Meagan Good, reacted in the courtroom when the verdict was read at nearly 3 p.m.

"At the Manhattan D.A.'s Office, we are committed to centering survivors in all of our work. The evidence presented throughout this trial illustrated a cycle of psychological and emotional abuse, and escalating patterns of coercion far too common across the many intimate partner violence cases we see each and every day," Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement.

"Today, a jury determined that pattern of abuse and coercion culminated with Mr. Majors assaulting and harassing his girlfriend," he continued. "We thank the jury for its service and the survivor for bravely telling her story despite having to relive her trauma on the stand."

Prosecutors said the "Kang the Conquerer" actor broke his then-girlfriend's finger during a dispute in the back of a hired car on March 24 after she found a text from another woman on his phone.

An attorney for Majors, though, tried to prove to jurors that the woman, Grace Jabbari, injured herself hours later, after a night of partying with friends, when she went to Majors' Chelsea penthouse apartment alone.

The star was arrested by the NYPD in the late morning on March 25, when, fearing from her overnight texts that she'd tried to kill herself, he rushed back from his hotel to his triplex, according to evidence from both sides.

Majors then found Jabbari unconscious and called 911, summoning New York Police Department officers to his home.

Majors' lawyer Priya Chaudhry explained during her closing argument that his decision to call the police on the morning of March 23rd came with an anxiety that is common among Black men in America when calling 911 — will he end up arrested?

"His fear of what happens when a Black man in America calls 911 came true," she said last week.

The prosecution's two best eyewitnesses were a chauffeur and someone who went out with Jabbari later that night, but they both testified at trial that they were drunk or hardly saw anything on the night in question.

Majors faces a maximum one-year jail sentence on the misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, and his sentencing has been scheduled for February 6.

Less than two hours after the verdict was announced, Marvel said it was cutting ties with Majors.

"We will not be moving forward with Jonathan Majors," the company spokesperson told Business Insider.

Majors' current girlfriend, Meagan Good, sat directly behind him in the front row of the audience throughout most of his trial.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
