Parasite today became the first South Korean movie to win an Oscar and the first Asian film to win the best original screenplay. It competed with Scorcese’s The Irishman, Joker, Marriage Story, JoJo Rabbit, Little Women, 1917 and others to win the award for Best film.

The book constitutes a confession that Mafia hitman Sheeran made to Brandt before his death.
